School Year Structures

1st Year

Gateway Ministry School's 1st Year

is a 9 month school committed to equipping and empowering you to passionately pursue kingdom living through
understanding your God given identity and exploring your heart through dailly Bible reading, hands-on art projects, books that challenge your thinking, weekly videos or live teachings,

and living weekly in a community

of encouragement and vulnerabiltiy. 

 We look forward to partnering with you in this community of revivalists who are passionate about growing in understanding their Identity and ready to be stretched in taking risks with their hearts.

1st Year Requirements

  • Once a week 4 hour class: *Mondays 5pm-9pm

  • Can miss up to 3 classes in the 9 month school year, unless otherwise discussed before school starts. 

  • You will need a pastor’s reference of approval form and one personal reference form to be submitted with your registration.

  •  Must attend at-least one out of three, Two-day Intensives that will be presented quarterly.

  • Must attend at-least one out of three Outreach Events presented quarterly

Homework Expectations & Guidelines 
Weekly Homework:

  • Teachings: In-class live teachings or video teachings with questions and activations. (Can miss up to two assignments a month)

  • Bible Reading: Reading through the Bible in nine months and presenting creative expressions to show how your Bible reading has impacted you. 

  • Book Reading: Reading one book a month (that you will need to purchase each month from our book list, in addition to your tuition) and presenting a creative expression to show how that book impacted you. 
    Monthly Homework:

  • Online Video Teachings:  two to three online video teachings with questions and activations. 

  • This is your time to create! Show us how the book impacted your life through creative arts. Use any medium of art; creative writing, drawing, videography, digital art, and more. Book Reports: Show us how your Bible reading has impacted you through creative arts.

  • Bible Reports: This is another time to create! Use any medium of art; creative writing, drawing, videography, digital art, and more.

  • Testimonies: Write out two testimonies a month to record what God is doing throughout your school year. This school is not just a school of knowledge but a school of activating that knowledge to impact others around you. 

Yearly Homework

  • Fails: You must record three fails within the schoo year to qualify for a Ceritificate of Completion. 

  • Revivalist Report: You will study and write at-least a five page report on a revivalist from the history of revivals. 

2nd Year

Second year Gateway Ministry School

is 9 months of building on the authentic Christian community that has been established through the first year.

Our goal is to equip and activate you to do the work of the ministry, to see lives transformed and set free in your everyday life. GMS is committed to studying the scriptures, helping you prepare 

 your own teachings, studying avenues of the gifts of the Spirit, and providing opportunities to be activated in the community by ways of such things like facilitating small groups once a month, during class, with first year students, to practice those Gifts.

  • Book Reading: Reading one book a month and presenting a creative expression to show how that book impacted you. (You will not have a reading book the months of your sermon preperation) in addition to your tuition (that you will need to purchase each month from our book list.

Monthly Homework:

  • Online Video Teachings:  two to three online video teachings with questions and activations. 

  • This is your time to create! Show us how the book impacted your life through creative arts. Use any medium of art; creative writing, drawing, videography, digital art, and more. Book Reports: Show us how your Bible reading has impacted you through creative arts.

  • Bible Reports: (only three reports this year) This is another time to create! Use any medium of art; creative writing, drawing, videography, digital art, and more.

  • Testimonies: Write out two testimonies a month to record what God is doing throughout your school year. This school is not just a school of knowledge but a school of acitvating that knowledge to impact others around you.

  • Evaluation sheets: You will fill out an evaluation sheet each month you have small group.  

Quarterly Homework 

  • 9 Minute Sermon: You will be given a Book of the Bible to read through and study, then be asked to write and present a 9 minute sermon to the class. 

Yearly Homework

  • Fails: You must record three fails within the schoo year to qualify for a Ceritificate of Completion. 

  • Persecuted Martyr Report: You will study and write at-least a five page report on a persecuted martyr from history.  
     

2nd Year Activation:

Discipleship will be key for 2nd year; you will be asked to facilitate small groups and activations, throughout the school year with 1st year students during class time and Intensives.

3rd Year

Third year Gateway Ministry School is

9 months of building on leadership skills and understanding your metron.

Our goal is to give you space to focus in on your sphere of influence, help with communication skills, teach on Spiritually Fathering and Mothering, and healing any past leadership experiences.

GMS is committed to helping you in these areas by bringing in councilors, speakers, and through video series.

We will be providing many opportunities for you to use your leadership skills, through quarterly homegroups that you will prepare and lead in, having you come along-side second year students as they lead their small groups, preparing and teaching a 1st or 2nd year class, and helping lead with intensives and outreaches.

3rd Year Requirements

  • Once a week 4 hour class: *Mondays 5pm-9pm

  • Can miss up to 3 classes in the 9 month school year, unless otherwise discussed before school starts.

  • No personal reference of approval form needed 

  •  Must help lead and attend at-least two out of three, Two-day Intensives that will be presented quarterly.

  • Must help lead and attend at-least two out of three Outreach Events presented quarterly

  • Must prepare and attend at-least one homegroup that will be provided quarterly

  • Must prepare and teach a 1st or 2nd year class one time throughout the school year.

  • Evaluation sheets: If it is your quarter to teach 1st or 2nd year or be a part of a home-group, you will have an evaluation sheet to fill out and turn in.

Yearly Homework

  • Fails: You must record three fails within the school year to qualify for a Ceritificate of Completion. 

  • Ministry or Business Plan Report: This is at-least a 5 page written blueprint on what God has been depositing in you to build and create throughout these last 3 years of school.  
     

3rd Year Activation:

Leading from a place of Fathering and Mothering and finding your metron will be key for 3rd year; you will be asked to come alongside 2nd year as they lead small groups with 1st year, you will be asked to lead in at-lease one homegroup and help in leading intensives and outreaches, and you will be asked to teach at-least one 1st or 2nd year class during the school year.
